September 12, 2025 at PNWA Conference: Contracts and Copyrights
On September 12th, I will teach an introduction to the basics of business writing, contracts, and copyrights and what it means to a writer. I will also discuss the basic terms of contracts that are of importance to a writer in the sale of their works, the payment terms and maintaining copyright ownership of their works. I will not be providing any legal advice only introductions to legal terms, contract types, and types of IP protections.

AI for Writers: Trademarks and Brand Images.
On September 13th, I will teach an introduction to the basic types of trademarks, brand Images and guidelines and what it means to a writer. I will discuss the implications of AI on copyright protections and trademarks. I will also discuss the types of trademark and brand image protections, and the types of copyright protections. I will not be providing legal advice only introductions to topics of interest to writers.
